Frequently Asked Questions
-
We are not attorneys or financial advisors but we partner with these professionals when needed to ensure that every task we complete for you is under their advice. If you do not have an estate attorney or financial advisor, and your estate requires or would benefit from these resources, we are happy to connect you with our extensive network.
-
We are happy to offer virtual or over-the-phone consultation no matter where you are located.
For clients that need onsite support (to help locate documents, coordinate estate liquidation, meet with real estate agents, etc.), we serve the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont.
If you are not sure if we can service your loved one’s estate due to location, please contact us, and we will be happy to let you know if we can help.
-
We typically begin working with families a few weeks after the loss of a loved one, as the family recognizes the overwhelming number of tasks required and seeks our support.
However, we are available to talk with you anytime and can provide guidance and support even long before or years after the loss of a loved one. Our goal is to provide answers and clarity whenever you need it.
-
We provide guidance and support to the executor with our After Loss service, but we do not provide Executor services.
-
When you choose our After Loss service, we will ask you to sign paperwork naming your dedicated coordinator as an authorized agent for the executor. You retain the responsibility and control over the tasks to be completed, and we only take action after receiving full approval from you.
-
Any sensitive information we need during the course of our work, such as death certificates, account numbers, and other details, are kept in a secure location and destroyed/deleted within 30 days of the end of your engagement.
We tightly control permissions to work online and use two-factor authentication to make sure no one has access to files who shouldn’t.
